I realize we’re only coming into spring but summer is on my mind and camping here on the island is phenomenal! Although, if you want to enjoy some of the best camping here on the Island I would book in NOW as prime locations and spots fill up quickly!
I just booked my kids and I for a two night camping trip in Tofino in August. Tofino is definitely one of the hottest places to visit any time of the year but summer is the prime time to visit this unique surf town :D. I booked us in and there was still quite a few options left: This will be the first time for myself and my kids camping in Tofino. Places that we have camped at are mostly local, here in Victoria. We have camped at French Beach and China Beach. Both were amazing experiences! At French Beach the beach was a short walk away and from China Beach -Mystic Beach was a short drive and a 2 km walk in. My kids and I have also camped at Island View Beach out in Sidney. Our experience at Island View was pretty good. The location was great and the beach was literally a few steps away. It was very reasonable in price as well. I would camp there again. I myself haven’t camped at Goldstream yet. My kids have and they’ve loved it there. I’d like to camp there again this year 🙂
Now I haven’t “camped” at this next place, however I have stayed in all their different types of “mini cabins”. Where is this? The Qualicum Bay Resort! My kids and I love it there. I wrote a different blog about this Amazing Family Resort, you can read more here:
