Car Shows 2019 (Candace’s Corner)

It’s here! Summer is now in full effect which means you’ll see lots and lots of classic cars roaming around the island. I love classic cars and I absolutely love going to as many car shows as possible during the summer season. I grew up as a little kid going to car shows with my dad, so it holds a sentimental place in my heart. This past Father’s Day I drove up to Qualicum Beach to surprise my dad to attend the “Show & Shine,” with him. It gets bigger & bigger every year. This year was outstanding and definitely did not disappoint!

There are several other “Show & Shines” coming up that are all around the island. One car show that looks like a lot of fun for the whole family is coming up on July 14th from 9am until 3pm at Heritage Acres. They will have a 50/50 draw with proceeds going to the Salvation Army, train rides by donation and admission is dirt cheap! Only $5 for adults and kids 12 and under are free.

Another major car show that you will not want to miss is the iconic “Deuce Days,” that takes place every 3 years down in the Inner Harbour! This year it will be spread over 4 days. It all starts on July 18th and goes right through to July 21st. This event will boast over 500 Deuce Coupes, I hope to see you there. 😀 Another fun one that you may want to check out happens down at the Gorge on Canada Day. It starts at 7:30am and goes until 3pm. I think that one would be nice since it is right down at the Gorge waterway. You could bring a picnic and then take a stroll and check out all the beautiful cars. For a few more listed car shows that I did not talk about, please check out:

I hope you get to go out and enjoy the summer as much as possible which will hopefully include enjoying a car show or two!

Until next time…
